5th Open Data Day Croatia was held in Zagreb from March 6-8, 2020. The Open Data Conference and Weekend Hackathon discussed about the availability of public sector data - when it will become open and usable, about the benefits and risks of online voting and the data missing from political campaign finance records.
On the first day of Weekend Hackathon TODO project was presented to participants by coordinator Dražen Tutić from Faculty of Geodesy of the University of Zagreb. Presentation gave an emphasis on challenges and developments in open spatial data. The objectives of strengthening human capacities at University of Zagreb were complemented with invitation to participation in future project activities which go beyond University scope, such as Open Data Consortium, Online training, MOOC and national and international conferences. Eventhough the topics of the hackathon were analysis of public finances and politics, participants expressed need for open spatial data and emphasized issues they encountered with quality of open (spatial) data.
