We are pleased to invite you to participate in the National Open Data Conference – NODC2021, which will take place in Zagreb, Croatia, from 20th to 22nd of September 2021 in hybrid mode (regarding pandemic situation). NODC2021 is organized within the Horizon 2020 Twinning Open Data Operational project (857592 – TODO) with the primary goal to disseminate and communicate the project's ongoing results and agenda to different stakeholders in Croatia. Also, the goal is to bring together national stakeholders of the Croatian open data ecosystems, including decision-makers, public servants, businesses, researchers, and citizens, and initiate a dialogue between these stakeholders.

NODC2021 is a three-day event with the participation of stakeholders from science, renowned keynote speakers from the EU, government, education, and the industry. Besides themed disciplinary panels focused on open data (law, agronomy, geodesy, informatics and organization, computing, transport and traffic), two workshops are organized for stakeholders who want to learn more about the open data concept ("Open data for beginners" and "Show me the data! – open data mapping for beginners").

Professional and scientific papers can be presented within the panel sections if they relate to their topics. Panel section topics are:

  • data based innovation in sustainability of natural resources and efficient food production,
  • technological enablers of open data (and beyond),
  • open data for citizens’ rights and good governance,
  • open data ecosystems – emphasis on data collectors,
  • open geo-spatial data driver of modern society,
  • open data in smart cities.
