We invite you to participate in an online training program that is developed and implemented to cover the fundamentals and more advanced areas of open data research and practice.
Who we are?
Project "TODO – Twinning Open Data Operational", approved by Horizon2020 programme – Twinning, started with its activities in October 2019. This project is aiming to leverage the interdisciplinary scientific excellence and innovation capacity of the University of Zagreb (UNIZG) in the field of open data to boost the supply and use of open government data in Croatia and beyond.
Faculty of Geodesy, University of Zagreb is coordinating this EU project, led by asist. prof. Ana Kuveždić Divjak, PhD. Project partners are also Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Faculty of Organization and Informatics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Delft University of Technology and University of the Aegean.
ONLINE TRAINING Topics covered
The training program itself will consist of three modules:
- Introduction into Open Data
- Assessing Open Data
- Open Data in Croatia.
TODO project offers the TODO Module 1 material also as open and free online course that everyone may be self-enrolled.
MODULE 1 – Introduction into Open Data which begins on April 26, 2021 is an introductory module in which research staff and ESRs will be introduced into the basics of open data and the (components of the) open data ecosystem (open data types, stakeholders, governance and legal aspects, technical aspects, financial challenges, access mechanisms, standards and best practices).
Learning objective of the MODULE 1 - Introduction into open data (ecosystems) to understand and apply the key components and their relations of the open data ecosystem.
The issues covered by Module 1 are:
- Open data ecosystems
- Open data governance
- Open data technology
- Financial aspects of open data
Deadline: Please enrol yourself until April 26, 2021.
Fees: TODO online training program is completely free for all participants.
Certificate: A certificate on open data will be awarded to all participants in Module 1.
Access: The only thing “to-do” is to sign up (self-enrol) to the online training program and you will get access to all available material of Module 1.
